Student training
The first batch of students have arrived and we begin a few days of site tours and training in our excavation and survey techniques.

Whilst the students were acclimatizing to the Portus heat we took them on a tour of nearby Ostia

Day two was spent continuing to set up the post ex equipment and organising various administrative things.
