Application Process

There are two stages of the application process:

Step 1:

Applicants should email a copy of their CV to the Field School Director ( with an accompanying letter explaining why they wish to take part in the field school and what they expect to gain from it.

Once you have applied, you will be informed of the outcome of your application within 14 days. Applications are dealt with on a first come first served basis and early application is encouraged as places on the Field School fill up very quickly.

Step 2:

Once you have a place confirmed, we will require a deposit of £500 (Pounds Sterling) to reserve a place and this payment is non-refundable. This deposit is to be paid within two weeks of your acceptance email. You will then pay the remainder of the costs up to a month before the Field School. Details of the secure payment process will be sent to students after their application is accepted. Failure to pay either the deposit or the balance before the deadline will result in your place on the excavation being cancelled immediately.
